This project examines the dynamics of Chinese and Australian engagement in the Pacific region, exploring how the two countries’ development and diplomatic activities intersect and shape regional governance.

This project is building a database of China’s rebuilding and aid projects in the post-COVID and post-disaster Global South. Moving beyond the conventional focus on infrastructure, it documents the range of development assistance China provides to countries in the region.
